Down Payment Resource

No down payment?  No problem!  One of the most common hurdles for any home buyer - but particularly first time home buyers - is not the impact of the monthly payment or qualifying for a mortgage, but the need to come up with a large chunk of cash for a down payment + closing costs.  Even with an FHA loan, that 3.5% can add up quick, and given the economy of recent years, very few have large sums of cash sitting around.

Don't let that stop you from exploring the possibility of home ownership - there are programs that can help.  In Minnesota, you can visit the Down Payment Resource center to browse various programs by location.  Some of the program issue what is similar to a small second mortgage, payable over several years - others work differently.  Browse the site and speak to a lender to confirm your eligibility and find the program that best suits your needs.

Then... call me and let's work together to find your heart a home.

Have a great weekend!
