Summer In Minnesota
Well, here we are in June in Minnesota, one of the best times of the year for those of us living here in the Frozen Tundra! I never cease to be amazed at the contrast between the winters and summers here, and how life just seems to explode out of the ground at the first sign of a warm day! It's wonderful to be able to go for long walks outside and stay warm. It's the time of year when I forget about the ice and snow and start feeling like summer will never end.
One of the things I like most about this time of year is how all of the cities break out the party hats and have shindigs at their parks. For example, the Savage, MN "Dan Patch Days" starts on 26 June and runs through the 28th. There's lots more information available at their website: http://www.danpatchdays.org.
It's also the best time of year to be looking for a home or for selling a home. Whether you're a buyer or a seller, everything is so much easier when you don't have to deal with the snow or cold. Buyers are much more active, as it's often just nice to get out of the house and see what is for sale out there. And, if you do buy, you won't have to make that move with snow running down the back of your neck!
Sellers know that buyers are more active this time of year and it seems there is a lot of listing activity over the Summer. This year, inventory is very low and houses are moving quickly - many before they are listed - so, if you're thinking about selling or wondering how much you might get for your home, please contact me and I'll be happy to do a free, no-obligation market analysis for you! This can be useful information for you whether you end up listing now or not.
